7 Reasons why I do Elliptical Workouts instead of Running Stairs

We caught up with Lookability Club, Brand Ambassdor, JamesRoy- a.k.a JRoy at one of his workouts. 

We found him working out on an Elliptical machine and asked him a few questions. With a little assistance from his personal assistant, here is what we learned.

Lookability Club: “Would you share seven benefits you get out of an Elliptical workout? “

JRoy: “For me, #1 is -it’s a good cardio-aerobic activity and # 2 it works both my upper and lower body.”

Lookability Club: “Are there any other benefits that you would include in your list of 7?”

JRoy: “Sometimes when I let go of the handles and let my hands go free, I gain better strength and balance so for me #3 would be that it helps me to work on my core and improve my balance. 

Lookability Club:

“What other benefits would you put on your list of seven as to why an Elliptical is another great workout option for you instead of the stairs?”

JRoy: “Well #4 for me is that it’s a great indoor workout as an option on rainy and snowy days when the weather is not so great for an outdoor workout. And #5 would be that I find it is easy on my joints, my tendons and my ligaments especially if I am making my way back from a bit of a sprain or a little sports injury. Once I am 100% then I can do other workouts because do love high-impact workouts too. For example,  some of the high-impact workouts I  like are running, jumping rope or climbing stairs when I am in the mood for the stairs.”

Lookability Club: Tell us more.

JRoy: Well just to be clear, I think it’s always good to mix things up when it comes to my workouts. So sometimes I choose to do the Elliptical but I am not saying that I will never workout on the stairs if I want a stronger workout. 

Overall, I would say #6  is that I do find the Elliptical to be a great, simple workout to do for my extremities as a whole.

And #7, it’s a fun and easy workout to do and perhaps to even prep for a Fitness Challenge with a friend regardless of if the challenge is low impact or high impact.
