Why I Walk My Shopping Cart Back To Look Healthy like JLo
Do you ever feel like you lack the motivation to return your shopping cart every time you shop? Well, I like to channel a healthy and fit celebrity look like JLo to motivate me to work out harder or to walk a few extra steps to return my shopping cart when I go shopping. Â Channelling JLo is my motivation and everyone else needs to find what motivates you to be healthy and fit.Â

What’s inside my shopping cart is just as important as the extra fitness I get when I take the time to walk my shopping cart back to its designated area. Here’s what you’ll find inside my shopping cart: Foods that reflect the clean and healthy plant-based diet that JLo has been known to live by. For example, green leafy vegetables and fruits, and of course, I go for organic and drink lots of water just like JLo.

When it comes to whether any of us should be walking our shopping carts back or not, you may have heard or seen the viral social media debate online about whether you should demonstrate kindness or social responsibility and return your shopping cart when you shop. This debate was sparked by a Mom in a viral TikTok who said she would not return her shopping cart to the designated area after she put her groceries in her car especially if she has her kids with her and must consider whether it’s safe. She expressed to the public that you can- “Judge Me All You Want” and was unapologetic about her opinion. Whether we share her opinion or not or have a different opinion, most of us would agree that everyone is free to their own opinion.Â
When it comes to returning your shopping cart there are some health and wellness benefits for everyone whether you represent a typical family, Differently-abled people with disabilities, LGBTQ, or other inclusive groups of people.Â
First and foremost, if you have strong opinions about this debate, it’s important to acknowledge that there are always some exceptions to the public’s views, Â expectations, or perceptions on what you should or should not be doing with your shopping cart.

For example, it’s up to you to decide what’s best because only you know whether it is safe to return a shopping cart depending on where you parked or whether you have a disability that is severe enough to prevent you from returning a shopping cart or whether you happen to be a Mom or Dad with your infant child or kids by your side and you simply cannot leave your baby or kids alone in the car to return a shopping cart.Â
That said, I like to focus on the health and wellness benefits of how returning my shopping cart helps me look and feel better. In fact, I have added this as part of my weekly health and fitness routine every time I shop. Â Â
Again, I like to channel the health and beauty of JLo to motivate me. This is an excellent way for me to remember that physical activity is always worth it every time I walk a few more steps in the parking lot to return my cart.Â
According to the CDC, physical activity is anything that gets the body moving. Therefore, I like to park as far away in the parking lot from the store as possible and walk farther to return my shopping cart. I like the fact when I take these kinds of action steps, this can lead to even better health benefits for me.Â

Ever since my kids were old enough to run on the playground I like to have them walk along with me pushing the cart to return it too. However, when I am in the role of Soccer Mom and am late for an event, I simply skip returning the shopping cart and use my common sense. Â
The bottom line is that there are so many benefits to physical activity such as:
– Improved thinking, cognition & judgment
– Reduce risk of Depression & Anxiety
– Promote better sleep
– Reduce risks of Diabetes, cardiovascular disease or strokeÂ
– Reduce risks of developing various Cancers.Â
– Promote healthy weight and help manage obesity.
