For my sense of wellness, I love to get my inspiration from celebs who are into interior design. It is important when it comes to the wellness decor in my home that it reflects the colors and styles I like for me to make it my own. I always include colors like cool greens and blues in my outdoor space, especially during the Summer.

Plus I like to look at what my favorite celebs are doing with their homes.

For example, when it comes to keeping up with the Kardashians and their designer style, I am aware that Kourtney Kardashian has been known to get her decor from designers like Martyn Lawrence Bullard who is described on his website as “a multi-award-winning Los Angeles-based interior designer renowned for his broad range of styles.” I admit that my DIY-Decor could not easily compare but who says I cannot get inspiration from the best.

Here’s what I do. I will create a look that reflects the style of my favorite designer or celeb but then be sure to add my own touches of style too.  I am always pleased with the results when it looks like I hired a celebrity Interior Designer and sit back with my family and friends enjoying food and drinks telling them which designer I decide to channel for my latest event at home.

It’s a good idea to get the opinion of your partner or your friends and family if you know they have your back and if you know that you will be spending a lot of time with them on Holidays like the  4th of  July. It is also okay to not want anyone else’s feedback because it’s all about you.

All I can say is that when I checked out what Kourtney Kardashian sees in the designs of Martyn Lawrence Bullard I immediately fell in love with the designer’s outdoor style.

Although I like the Harbour Outdoor Furniture featured on his website with his use of whites and blues, I made it my own and added touches of natural wood color tones which can easily be done by adding white or tan and beige cushions or throws.    It was so important for me to keep many of the colors of the Harbour Outdoor Furniture theme I liked.  I like these colors because they remind me of Mother Nature and are calming and perfect for Summer. One thing is certain the Harbour-themed design has the power to transform me somewhere else. It makes me feel like I am sitting on a yacht in the middle of the ocean.

We can each bring the star inside of us to life in our home decor and design no matter how simple or elaborate we want our DIY Decor project to be.

Anyone can get inspiration from our favorite Stars and then do our decor in a style that says it’s you. Some of us may just have to do it on a budget that’s affordable to us.

It’s all about cool Summer spaces during the Summertime. I like to create Summer spaces in my home that incorporate colors like orange and neutrals. These kinds of colors are not only great for Summer but also work for different seasons of the year.  For example, by the time the Fall Season comes around the orange decor can easily lend itself to a pretty pumpkin theme for a Halloween or Thanksgiving Get-together with family. This makes my life so much easier when it comes to switching things up to reflect the seasons in my DIY Decor.

To do my decor on a budget. I first identify how much money I can realistically spend -$200, $500, $1000, $3000, $5000 or more.

If I only had $100 to $200 in my pocket to spend, then I gear my project towards eco-friendly recycle, and reuse decor.  There are local stores where I can shop and benefit from the trend towards sustainable “recycle and reuse” items.

If you are viewed by the public as different in some way, whether you are differently-abled or from the LGBTQ community, show the world who you are in your DIY Decor and style.

Reflect the colors of the Pride flag in your home decor or fly your Pride flag inside your yard and the place you call home.

If you are differently-abled and need to use adaptive furniture, shop adaptive furniture suppliers and find the style and design that says it’s you.

Be sure to shop around for the best deals.  Also, I like to ensure that my home decor reflects my adaptive fashion and style.

If you cannot afford the lifestyle of the rich and famous or the lifestyle of your favorite celebrity then there are also websites like www.Buynothingproject.org that are available for anyone to explore to get the items you need. There are kind people in the world willing to donate sustainable items that you can get for nothing on websites like this.

Don’t overlook faux potted house plants, if you are going for a budget-friendly DIY Decor.

For instance, I will get inspiration from other stars like Martha Stewart and will work it into my budget.

If  Martha recommends some really nice faux house plants, I shop for the best look-alike plants I can find when I shop for sustainable deals.
