How I Look Trendy Like I’m Ready for a Vogue Runway Casting Call
I love to look trendy everyday regardless of whether or not I was born with the perfect body or the perfect face. Â I think that no matter what challenges life brings us , no matter what disability or medical condition I am living with, I can be my best and let my individuality shine.
Like many people, I like to take a look at the latest styles online or thumb through the magazine racks whether online or in person while I am waiting to check-out my groceries at the local supermarket just so I can get inspired by the latest styles. Individuality is invaluable to me but there is still no harm in looking for inspiration from different people, places, events and industries.
Imagine if we could even get inspiration for our individual dress and style from our favorite movie stars or music artists or from any and everything that catches our eyes or pretty much anything else that gets our attention like perhaps our favorite lyrics or our most memorable provocative movie lines.
Imagine someone saying to you–
“God, you look so Chic.” Â
-The Devil Wears Prada
But perhaps instead of you waiting for someone to say this to you or to notice you or to discover you, you simply say it to yourself and make it all about your individuality then if you ever get discovered then perhaps you can believe that you managed to manifest positive affirmational and transformational moments like these into your life simply by truly being you, being who you were born to be, or  maybe it was simply in the stars for you to reach any level of success that comes your way. No matter what, one thing is for sure, sometimes we need to dress the part before we even get the part.
I even like to try manifesting some of my favorite musical lyrics in my dress & style
For example, when I listen to some of the lyrics from one of my favorite artists, Lady Gaga. Maybe you know it and like it too. It goes like this.
“Like a Poem said by a Lady in Red.” Â -Lady Gaga’s Abracadabra
These lyrics inspires me to express my individuality in a daring, shocking, red accessory or outfit. Sometimes, just being able to add the right accessories to your outfit can give you a phenomenal pop of color and be so powerful.Â

But whether you get noticed by others or not, you simply  need to keep in mind that you are “doing you” and truly enjoy being who you were born to be. It’s time to truly celebrate who you are even with any of your perceived flaws.Â

You have all heard how sometimes writers say that they experience “Writer’s Block”, so keep getting inspiration for your fashion and style and your adaptive or inclusive lifestyle from as many modes of inspiration as possible so that you never experience any kind of block when it comes to your fashion, style and healthy lifestyle.Â
Keep things fresh and new and alive even with it comes to your individuality. It doesn’t matter whether you use a bike or a wheelchair for mobility. Get up and get inspired in as many ways you could possibly find.Â
I will even get my inspiration from various Casting Calls that are announced.Â
For instance, by now, most of you have probably heard the word being spread that Vogue’s Open Casting Call is on. Yes, it’s on, and Vogue encourages us to spread the word.
It’s described as being a global model search for any and all models and even would-be and I imagine “wanna-be” models who want to enter for the chance to appear in what’s being described as a “major editorial moment with Vogue. Â Plus, Â Vogue dropped the news that among some well-known designers and key industry big wigs involved in the selection process, Anna Wintour, Vogue’s Chief Content Officer and Global Editorial Director is one of the judges and according to Vogue she said,
” It’s going to be exciting to see how the Open Casting Call feature will give access to so many more people, it’s a celebration of individuality.”
-Anna WintourÂ
I totally agree with celebrating individuality when it comes to the way I dress and style myself. I never let any perceived obstacles like a disability or medical condition prevent me from achieving my individualized look or even my version of my latest inspired looks on the Vogue Runway. Â I believe that true individuality is about creating your own individualized trend. I like outfits that express creativity and individuality and of course feature user-friendly, magnetic closures for easy dressing that accommodates a variety of body types, disabilities, medical conditions or mobility needs. Â As I have indicated in some of my other blogs, I like to visualize myself in exciting, new and different ways so I can truly see a difference in my self-expression which I believe is always evolving. Then I can truly say, “that’s different.” Â I believe that being different along with all the individual differences of others around me is truly what makes life so interesting.

For those of you who didn’t hear about this Vogue Casting Call in  August, the entrance period is listed as August 4th through August 25th, 2025 and it says ” femme-identifying individuals 18-and-older can access the Open Casting Portal exclusively on the Vogue app in all countries where it is available.”
Taking into consideration issues like disabilities or medical conditions, I like to focus on Casting Calls with the Runway of Dreams but if I ever took a chance on a Casting call like this one with Vogue, I would definitely look to present myself in photos  that  celebrate my individuality with my own feminine presentational style that truly captures my sense of self  as well as my unique sense of style and flair.
Most importantly, whether I ever make a submission for the chance at a Vogue opportunity like this or not,  regardless for me it’s about living my life in fresh new ways, celebrating who I really am and expressing my individuality in a variety of creative ways with photos that bring to life my best self and best life in a wide range of ways from color, style to fabrics or culture, locations and accessories and so much more. Of course, my choices and selections must be affordable and even sustainable  when it comes to celebrating me. Plus I always like to incorporate Health & Wellness Activities like hiking, jogging, walking and Healthy Mediterranean style meals like plant-based meals in my daily lifestyle to truly embrace a healthy lifestyle while bringing my individuality to life.
Who knows if I feel like I get it right and if I truly feel like I managed to celebrate my best life and captured these kind of successful moments  in some photos I may take the chance to submit a few shots to exciting opportunities like these.  What would you do?
