How I do Summer DIY Dior Looks & Summer Dinners for Everyone
By Lookability Club Stylist
Not everyone can always afford the best Dior dresses but if you know anything about dressing the look of Dior then you will know why I look for fabrics  like lace or silk that evoke luxury and elegance and features intricate design and details.
I make sure I select dresses where I can create the look of a tightly clinched waist line and fabric and materials that flow and move with my body. For me, the right fabrics  should be able to create the elegance of movement on any and every body whether you are a typical person or a person with a disability and give everyone the same sense of sophistication and even opulence no matter who your are. Whether you can shop the high-end luxury stores in Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills or simply shop online or at a stylish local Consignment Shop or the local Thrift Store or Goodwill Store that promotes sustainable styles, make sure you shop like you know who you are and you know the look you want to create for yourself based on your preferences for not only style but your needs when it comes to fashion.
Here’s what I do.
For Summer, when I do DIY Dior Looks I’ll go for the look of luxurious lace or a Vintage Lace look. I like to make sure that the fabric feels soft, sensory-friendly, natural and breathable to my skin with features like tag-less labels or I will carefully remove the tag and make it tag-less once I purchase it.
Other adaptive features that differently-abled individuals or people with medical conditions can look for are easy, adjustable features or seamless clothing. And of course, if needed, magnetic or Velcro closures are great as well and if you’re like me you’ll check to see if your neighborhood has a traditional Cleaning Store because  sometimes I will go there and ask them to help me alter my clothes especially if it’s an item that I got at a really good price at a Consignment Shop then it may be worth altering it to add the adaptive-style features I want and need.
For Dinner, sometimes instead of always grabbing fast food or going out to eat somewhere instead of looking for the latest trendy location that’s open for dinner I say just look at your own backyard or the backyards of your family and friends as your DIY Dinner venue. I like to do a DIY Dinner for myself along with a few close family and friends in a cool backyard.
An easy Recipe for me in the Summertime is doing a simple dinner on the Grill outdoors.
I like to do Mediterranean Style foods and will do a Salmon with Veggies Dinner on the Grill.
My Ingredients are as follows:
4 Â Salmon Fillets which I season with Lemon or Garlic Mrs. Dash 10 Minute Marinade. Plus anyone whose just having a cozy dinner for two can make this recipe work for two as well.
On the side I prepare:
2 cups of my favorite Veggies like Broccoli & mixed vegetables with green peas & 1 chopped green pepper and Red Mediterranean style beans and if I want to add even more veggies like Asparagus, Edamame or any other favorite veggies I do.
I let Nature guide me on how to cook. I will gather healthy natural seasonings like:
2 scallions chopped
1 small onion chopped
2 garlic cubes chopped.
1 tsp. chopped ginger
2 teaspoons of Honey and 2 teaspoons of soy sauce creates a slight sweat/sour taste
Plus a pinch of salt and pepper. For Dietary concerns, I may even skip the salt since I already have added a lot of natural seasons like ginger and scallions already.
I also add a few pinches of ground pepper and for those guests who like it hot I may add on the side just a few pinches of paprika, cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes
There are so many options that anyone can do with this recipe. For example if you prefer just to have a simple salad on the side with your Salmon. You can do this as well and skip having to cook veggies on the grill. I like to do both a variety of veggies on the grill and still offer a salad on the side for some guests who may simply prefer a salad.
When it’s time for Grilling:
I will preheat the Grill to approximately medium heat, Â I like to use a special Grilling Pan that looks like a frying pan. I will add oil along with scallions and then using a knife I make slits in my Salmon Fillets to add all those natural seasonings on top of the fillets
Next, I add the Soy Sauce and honey on top the fillets. I’ll put the Salmon with the skin side up and cook about 4 to 5 minutes and continue to brush with a little extra  sauce and honey as needed while cooking for an extra 3 to 4 minutes and serve on the grilling plate.
I also have the option of using an extra grilling pan which is great for grilling any extra vegetables while the fillets are cooking because ideally our plates should be filled with mostly veggies.
Then I simply toast myself for a job well done and of course I toast all my guests with some Red Wine or any other favorite wine so we can all truly dine and enjoy.
