How I got a Free Ballet instead of Stress in the City!

Well here is what we found out from one of our staffers who always takes advantage of anything free. Let’s listen to what she had to say about being able to attend a Ballet for free. 

 Lookabillity Staffer Tips for a free ticket: 

Whether you work for a big celebrity or a big Social Media Star, if you are a staffer like me then you know what it’s like to live on an average budget so I welcome free activities and free swag with no shame whatsoever.

So I got my free ticket through a membership that one of my friends and family had. Let me explain. 

I simply got my friends and family on board with attending the ballet with me but never expected them to pay for it.  For instance, If your friends and family are ever interested in attending a free ballet with you then I recommend checking among your circle of family and friends to see what memberships they may have. For example, if one of your family or friends has a membership to certain clubs or organizations like the AARP, there are free activities that you can register and sign up for such as the New York City Nutcracker Ballet. If you take advantage of the virtual performance then you can sit in the comfort of your living room or home theater with as many family members as you can fit in the room and watch the ballet virtually with the free access that some memberships can get you. I think of this as being able to take advantage of rewards and incentives that certain memberships will get you. 

So that’s how I was able to see a New York City Ballet performance for free. Now it is usually a previous performance from a couple years prior being offered virtually for free but it is still an amazing Ballet performance like any other. This was fine for me because I got to attend a free virtual performance with my family and friends. I didn’t have to worry about any hassles of getting on the subway or bus to get around in the hustle and bustle of busy traffic in the city. 

In fact, instead of feeling stressed in the city, I felt I got to rest in the city and simply enjoy the ballet. 

If you prefer attending an in-person performance for free then always remember that it is not all about you and we are all in this together. 

Therefore if you are not just looking for a free ticket for yourself but thinking of others and looking for free tickets to help others in need such as special needs students in a school or helping others in an organization for people with disabilities then it may be worth contacting the Box Office at the theater and inquiring whether it is possible to get any charitable ticket requests for special groups, students or people with disabilities or those you are helping in life. 

If your request is honored then just think through your taking the time to bring some joy into the lives of others you will likely find that you get to attend with your group for free when you are in the role of accompanying or chaperoning the others in your group.
