How I Say Merry Me Or Marry Me with Inclusive Adaptive Fashion
When I think of all the ways I can say “Merry Me” Â or ” Marry Me”, I like to say it with fashion, especially when it comes to wearing inclusive, adaptive, or gender-neutral fashion and styles. I think of one of my favorite songs the 12 Days of Christmas. Then I think of how many ways I can surprise that special person in my life by sending a message that says “Merry Me” Â or maybe even ” Marry Me”.Â
Here’s what I know.Â
I know that I want to express myself to my person with fashion. So I often ask, does the fashion industry truly reflect and showcase enough spaces of diversity? I am referring to spaces for inclusive shoppers like me or differently-abled individuals looking for adaptive styles or fashion for people who identify as non-binary or other LGBTQ or transgender individuals and so much more.
I find myself going on the hunt for the best outfits for my size and body type that I like to consider as cute and curvy so that I can surprise my person with 12 Days of my own individualized fashion and style. And I can only hope that the timing is right every time I attempt to say “Merry Me” or “Marry Me” with all my festive outfits.Â
However, if the timing is wrong for us right now to tie the knot then I will simply say to my person why not just shower me with the designers I like and merry me with fashion. If not I only want my person to allow me to say -let me “merry you” with the fashion designs you love for 12 days of the Holiday Season. It doesn’t matter whatever pronouns we use together – she, her, he his, they/them/their, the message “Merry Me” or “Marry Me” will mean the same to us.
For those of you who have not found that special person yet in life then who says you cannot say “Merry Me” to your fabulous self by having a little cozy alone time and self-care time. And don’t forget, since we all don’t celebrate the same Holidays, you may also consider making up your own song that inspires you and says “Merry Me” to yourself for 12 Days of the Holiday Season.Â
I like to shop Adaptive clothing designs and styles due to the fact that I am differently-abled. Â During the Winter Season, you’ll find me selecting Holiday Sweaters as part of my twelve outfits. Recently when I shopped at Tommy Hilfiger, I saw a lot of sweaters that caught my eye. The sweaters were not what you would consider fancy enough to be fit for a queen but they were simply warm and cozy and perfect to add as part of my festive fashion for the 12 Days of the Holiday Season that I planned to surprise my partner.Â

When it comes to telling yourself or your person or partner what’s on your mind, why not tell them with fashion. That’s right, don’t forget to tell yourself or them how you both deserve a little snuggly self-care time with the fashion you love. It doesn’t matter whether you are curled up in front of the fireplace, a campfire, or your TV, relaxing alongside your person, or your cat or dog listening to your favorite podcast or reading the latest books on your Reading list, just be happy and merry and say “Merry Me” or even boldly say “Marry Me” if the timing is right.Â
Curious about what kind of festive outfits catch my eye or how I find what I like. I look any and everywhere. For example, I look at how the mannequins in the store are styled. I look at how other shoppers who represent diversity are dressed. If  I like what I  see or how it looks on other women whether I am shopping online or in person in the store then I drop it in my shopping cart online or I’ll even go down to the mall to get it especially if delivery fees are free if you have the option to select delivery to a nearby store. .Â

If I like the style, then it will likely make its way into my shopping bags and I get to take all the festive fashion I found home to say “Merry Me” or “Marry Me” to the person I love. Â

If I can see myself in a red dress like this and it comes in a little bit of a curvy size for me then it’s a contender and maybe even a winner.Â
Other fashion finds that I have taken home with me to share with my person are the outfits that make me feel fierce and fabulous. These are the looks that make me dare to do something that I have never done with my partner before. For example, Â I’ll dye my hair and read some passages from the book 50 Shades of Grey with my partner or watch this movie with my partner and see where it takes us.Â

On other days of my 12 Days of the Holiday Season, I like to sing Holiday songs and say Tis -the Season for T-Shirts. I will often remember my loved ones lost to illnesses like Cancer during the Holiday Season

I gather a few friends together to wear white T-Shirts with pink ribbons and we all take selfies and friendship photos then after my Friendship gathering is over and I say goodbye, there is no need to change I simply wear my T-shirt and spend some private quality time with my partner for an evening on the couch and we toast with some red wine or some DIY Strawberry Peach Champagne which is basically me blending strawberry and peach in my blender, adding Champagne and pouring it into two champagne glasses for me to share with my person.
Well, I have to keep some of the fashionable, fabulous outfits that I share with my partner private between us but you get the picture and you can do the same for yourself when you make time for self-care or quality time together for yourself and your person.
I will say that after  I am finished surprising my person with festive fashion for 12 Days of the Holiday Season,  it is not unusual for me to take some time to myself for a Spa Day or a Self-care day. I have read some of the latest research that says it’s important for our mental health whenever we can take some alone time to do some self-care away from our person and partner. That’s when I get to enjoy self-care activities like nature walks or enjoy a stress reduction massage or even a Bubble bath like Julia Roberts in the movie, Pretty Woman. Plus shopping always fills me with joy for the Holidays. Call it  Retail Therapy or whatever you like. .
