How my Wellness Work Space is inspired by viewing The View on ABC
How many of us ever stop to take a moment to consider whether our workspace truly promotes our overall health & well being or our own sense of inclusiveness? And how many of us ever get the time to design or work spaces our own way in a purposeful manner for every item in our workspace?
We have always loved the set of so many different TV Shows and one popular Show we love is that of #The View on #ABC because of its neat sleek design. It has given us inspiration for our workspace yet we realize it’s okay to make it our own. For example, we have found that the use of certain colors that we like and even certain lighting we like can promote our own sense of well-being and overall wellness of our mind & body.
Plus we even consider the furniture we select for our work space regarding the ergonomic design and comfort level of our furniture. And we now question a lot more like asking ourselves, what works best for you or me? We think it’s a good idea to encourage others to ask what works best for you? For example, if you like movement, then consider if you function well on a chair on wheels or a Pedestal Style chair that swivels or slides when you sit? Or do you prefer to stand your ground in a solid, stable chair?
In fact, just today we did see that many of the viewers and fans of the popular ABC TV Show Talk Show, #The View quickly reacted online on Social Media when they saw one of the amazing team of Hosts, Joy Behar who attempted to sit in a chair but somehow ended up falling on the floor. This was broadcast on live TV and anyone who is a fan of the show who was watching and following social media would have seen this and as surprised we all were, we are all wishing her well. Luckily the viewers could see that she emerged triumphantly and gracefully from the floor with some assistance from her team and crew and she managed to finish the show like any other day amazingly well.
It is moments like these that inspires us to delve deeper into the topic of #WellnessWorkSpaces or #WorkspacesforWellness for all of us especially #People with disabilities or #Differently-Abled people.
Among our many topics on the Lookability Blog, we certainly plan to consider whether our own work spaces truly promote our sense of wellness and sense of inclusiveness and we look forward to exploring any and everything from standing desks and standing workstations and so much more. We hope all of you will continue to come along for the journey and follow us on our explorations.
Who knows, perhaps we will discover how we can do wonders for our Health and wellness the more we begin to select every item and every piece of furniture we put in our #Home Office and #Work stations in purposeful ways that will allow us to see the bigger picture of our #Health and #Wellness while we work everyday.
