LOOK WHAT’S INSIDE MY GETAWAY BAG?
We made you look. Well, it’s really worth taking a look but don’t take our word for it—see for yourself. Whether you have a disability or not it is always helpful to have a list or a reminder of what you need to pack for your next Getaway. If you do have a disability, tips on what to pack for your next Getaway are invaluable. Just know you are not alone, evidence-based records indicate that approximately 1.3 billion people in the world have a significant disability and many need help from a Caregiver to pack all the items they need to remember.Â
Guess what, we would never want to tell anyone to be self-centered but if you don’t want to forget the things you truly need for yourself or things that you need to provide the best accommodations for your disability, it may very well be best to pack for your next Getaway or Summer vacation in a self-centered manner unless you are packing for other family members as well.

We got a chance to go behind the scenes to take a look at what’s inside the Getaway bag of our Lookability Club Brand Ambassador, JamesRoy and whether he needed the help of a Caregiver to pack all of the items in his bag or not we respected his privacy. In fact, we did promise him that we would not invade his privacy taking too many photos like some of those alleged nosy paparazzi photographers notorious for taking non-stop photos. Again, whether he required assistance from a Caregiver or not during our session together we respected his privacy. We joked for a moment that if we were to send a survey out on how many of us get assistance when it comes to packing then we predict that there are many typical husbands in the world who depend on their wives to pack items for them along with items for the kids.  However there is no doubt that Super Moms who pack for everyone in the family deserve a vacation as well as those Super Dads who find time to do their own packing plus pack for the kids.

During our time together, we remarked on how we certainly value any tips he shares with us on what to pack. For example, he did share that regardless of whether a Hotel or Resort supplies basic items like- soap or shampoo and conditioner, he still insists on packing his own. Â He said one never knows if any of the ingredients in these items may present allergies or skin sensitivities. He showed us that he likes to use healthy shampoo products that are Paraben-Free and Gluten Free, Fragrance Free, Plant-based and Environmentally Friendly. He said he avoids using any other shampoos that may contain ingredients that are not best for his skin, body or his overall health. So ladies we are sure your skin will say thanks for this reminder when you pack your essentials for a Getaway.

What we took from what he said is that we all need to know how our body reacts to even mundane, ordinary products like shampoo. This made a lot of sense to us. Yet we still did our homework. When we checked for evidence-based studies on concerns like this, we did find that there are studies in research journals like the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology or the Indian Journal of Dermatology which state that basic shampoos contain ingredients such as detergents, preservatives, special additives and fragrances and more so we all need to keep in mind that we should do our own research too on what is the best shampoo for us based on whether the ingredients truly agree with our skin or our body. It’s up to us to decide whether it’s better for us to pack products like healthy vegan, paraben-free shampoos or not.
Another tip he gave us is that if you do have a disability, you need to pack items that will best accommodate your disability. For example, people with conditions like Autism or traits of neurodiversity may need to pack clothing with softer textures or even soft colored clothing that they may find more calming to their neurological system compared to hard, rough textures or bright, harsh colors which can be not only uncomfortable but aggravating and even intolerable.Â
Now, let’s take a look. Here’s what we found when we looked inside his bag.

One last tip, he gave us is that he was always taught to check the tsa.gov website if your Getaway requires Air Travel. The TSA website has the rules about what you are allowed to pack. This is certainly another great tip which led us to do our homework again. When we checked, sure enough as we all know, current TSA guidelines only allow us to pack 3.4 ounces of liquid in our Carry-on bags anything larger must be placed in our checked bags.Â

We have listed the website below:

We hope you enjoy your next Getaway.
Safe Travels!Â
