Model & Secret Shopper explores Tommy Hilfiger Adaptives Part-2

Today we are  looking to get the opinion of our Brand Ambassador and young model, JamesRoy after we sent him on a secret shopper task to explore the Tommy Hifiger Adaptive Clothing line in Part I of our Interview with him .  Here is the results of his Secret Shopper experience when he went on the hunt for Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive wear.  

Question:” What specific features did you like about this Clothing Line and what features do you like in a Clothing Line?”

Answer: “My lifestyle is very active with everything from fitness & sports to events so I need comfortable clothes that fits into my lifestyle. At one point in my life I had physical therapy to help me walk and run and other therapies like speech therapy and have come a long way so I can wear adaptive clothing but I also have gained the skills I need to wear regular clothes so I also wanted to compare some of my regular clothes that I have the ability to wear to the Tommy Hifiger Adaptive clothing line to see what I would discover.”  

Question: And what did you discover?”

Answer: “This is what I found. I  was able to manage dressing in the regular clothing line but I will say that the adaptive line includes  a lot of valuable modifications that definitely makes it easier to get dressed like replacing  standard buttons or zippers mechanisms with velcro or magnetic connectors that made it much easier to use.”

“For example, what I mean is that I personally love the magnetic buttons or Velcro fasteners or snaps, because even I have previously  ruined a few zippers in the past when I was younger and trying to get dressed because I tend to get frustrated with zippers. In fact, as far as my pants go, I try to avoid zippers by wearing sweat pants but the Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive line opens a whole new world for me in fashion.   I also personally like no tags on my clothes because I don’t like being distracted by any sensory issues with clothing tags. I did not see clothes on the rack to help me with my sensitivities with clothing tags on the day I shopped but I plan to be on the look out.”

Question: “What are some of the takeaways that you would like to share with the world?”

Answer: “Well the  first thing is to let people know that the first store where I stopped had the Tommy Hilfiger brand but it did not have the Adaptive Clothing Line so as I have said before  you have to do your homework before you shop to find out which stores carry the adaptive clothing lines.  I want the fashion designers in the world to know that I am fully capable of wearing and modeling “normal” clothes as well as clothes from the adaptive clothing line and always welcome the opportunity to showcase and wear clothing from inclusive adaptive clothing lines like Tommy Hilfiger by remote online methods especially during the period of Stay-At-Home orders due to the pandemic. “

Question: What are your final thoughts.

Answer: ” I give the Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive Clothing Line a thumbs up and I am so thankful that fashion designer, Mindy Schier helped to make this possible by teaming up with Tommy Hilfiger to get this line launched for people with disabilities. It’s a celebration of inclusiveness for everyone not just people with disabilities.  It makes me feel that designers like this are finally letting us know that people with disabilities are truly being seen. “
