Secret Shopper Model shops Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive Clothes-Part 1

Today we are on the hunt for Tommy Hifiger Adaptive line of clothing that will look good on our Mystery Model who we will reveal is actually our Brand Ambassador, JamesRoy who we plan to send out on a Secret Shopper task.

The Secret Shopper Assignment:

  To go to the mall and shop for clothes from the Tommy Hifiger Adaptive Clothing Line and try them on to provide us with his opinion and feedback in an interview. 

For those of you who did not know that Tommy Hifiger has an Adaptive Clothing Line. Here is a little background. Tommy Hilfiger launched it’s first ever adaptive clothing for children with disabilities back in 2016 after Mindy Schier,  a fashion designer,  powerhouse and trailblazer in adaptive fashions was able to work along with Tommy Hilfiger and his team and successfully designed adaptive clothes for people with disabilities.

Our Brand Ambassador and model was happy to provide his feedback on his secret shopping trip to the mall. He has expressed how he sees himself as having some similarities like the TV character, Dr. Shawn Murphy, a young doctor with savant syndrome played by actor Freddie Highmore.

Here is what he shared with us. 

“When I stopped at a popular store at the mall before all the stores closed for the Coronavirus Pandemic, I was on the hunt to see if the Fashion industry is becoming more inclusive with clothing for people with disabilities like the Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive Clothing line. I was ready to go beyond the norms and was prepared to dress in a dress if I had to in order to experience the Tommy Hilfiger adaptive clothing to get a better understanding of what this clothing line is like for both genders and to explore how it can help make people who wear this clothing line  eel a better sense of confidence and success.”

Question: Is there any strategy or approach you used to complete your secret shopping task? 

Answer: 

“I was even prepared to walk like a model in the mall wearing these clothes to see reactions from people. Keep in mind this was just before the Coronavirus Pandemic resulted in Fashion Runway Shows closing all over the world and if I only had a crystal ball, I would have spent all day at the mall. 

I like to watch videos of models at professional fashion shows to practice my walk. Here is an example of one video I have watched of Fashion Week in Milan before the Covid-19 Pandemic. It’s Versace fashion.

Question: Is there anything else you would like to see in the model industry?

Answer:

 I want to see more inclusiveness in the fashion industry with adaptive clothing styles.  I could not thank the fashion designers enough for beginning to create more adaptive clothing styles for people like me who are differently-abled. We all have the ability to expand the norm.
