What I Love about Unapologetic, Inclusive Broadway Shows
The next time you are on a trip or a getaway to New York, I Â recommend a good Broadway Show like “How To Dance In Ohio”. It’s a great show for the whole family. What sets this Broadway Show apart for me, is when –
I discovered that the actors all have Autism and they perform amazingly well and they are showing the world that they are unapologetic about who they are.Â
These actors are truly inspirational. I think this should definitely be added to your To-Do List or your Bucket List whether you live in the city or you’re simply just visiting as a tourist. This Broadway Show on stage is transforming audiences from the moment the actors get on stage.

It is an exciting, inclusive performance that we all can enjoy. This musical gives us a look into the world of individuals with autism who want to socialize but don’t quite know how. I felt like I could feel what they were feeling. I could feel how they experienced different emotions and how they felt nervous over the Spring Formal Dance they planned to attend the next day.
Here is what I found that makes this show all worth it.
The fact that the show gives us a look into the world of how seven young autistic adults prepare themselves for a Spring Formal Dance is not only entertaining and relatable but it’s powerful.Â
I think it has the power to promote positive cultural changes in the way we view people with disabilities as well as the power to destigmatize the negative views that exist in society towards autistic individuals and other people with disabilities or medical conditions.Â
