Why Wearing Black brings out my Creative Side yet Risky Behaviors in others like Dangerous Proposals on top Skyscrapers

Ever considered wearing black for a wedding gown on your Wedding Day?

Whether you are neurotypical or neurodivergent how does the Black outfits in your closet truly make you feel? For me, black can bring out a variety of emotions when I wear black in different places to do a variety of tasks and projects or spontaneous things.

Depending on when I am in different environments and spaces, when I wear black I have noticed it can make me feel slim and sophisticated in professional spaces and it brings out my sense of professionalism and confidence while in other spaces it can make me feel powerful and maybe a little dangerous like if I dress as Catwoman, Batwoman or Batman to attend a Comic-Con Event on the safety of the ground but I like how black can feel mysterious yet at the same time send a message that says something like,  make no mistake ” I’m bad to the bone” or “better not mess with me” whether you are an attorney or an average person living in inclusive communities or a person living with a disability.

Comparably, it appears that wearing black can sometimes bring out an extreme level of risky and dangerous behavior in others. Of course, I am not saying that any specific scientific studies state with 100% certainty that the color black can cause anyone to act out dangerously but there are scientific research studies that reveal that our perceptions play a role as well, For example,  our perception is a factor on how we view people who wear black. For example research studies have shown  that we tend to view people wearing black as more powerful and even aggressive.

As I listen to Taylor Swift’s song, Look What You Made Me Do,  contemplating various black outfits, it makes me think if I ever find myself ever becoming more risky in my behavior during business meetings or while socializing with friends  while I am wearing black, perhaps, I should say- Look what wearing Black made me do.

This brings me to the following moment that a couple wearing black got their 15 minutes of fame on live TV as they stood on top the pinnacle of the Empire State Building literally on the antenna region of this 102 story tall Skyscraper building. For some couples dressed in black,  it seems the rush of being on top of a dangerous skyscraper building to express their love for each other is worth it, no matter the risk.

This certainly begs the question,  is it possible that wearing black, can play a role in making some of us feel invincible?

Well this couple all dressed in black with matching black masks climbed and scaled all the  way to the very top of the Empire State Building for what appeared to be a proposal and they did this allegedly  without official permission from any authorities. So it’s being deemed as a criminal and dangerous act as this all happened high above the ground  and  amidst whispers and rumors of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding & the mysterious, exclusive Garden Party scheduled to take place at Madison Square Garden as well as  during the 2026 World Cup and the 250th Anniversary and other 4th of July Celebrations scheduled to take place in New York ‘s Harbor & surrounding area all happening in the same week.

The couple held a large black banner with white lettering that flowed in the wind like a powerful fluttering flag that stated, “When the Power of Love beats the World of Power the World knows Peace.”

It’s said that the couple indeed got engaged on top of the Empire State building but if this gets them any criminal charges, I guess we can call this a crime of passion.   Let’s analyze this a little more. Can we completely rule out whether wearing black played even the slightest role in their bold, daring, dangerous behavior? Did the black outfits that they wore make their experience even more dangerous and mysterious?    What do you make of this?  Or do you think it’s not even worth your time?

 

Well,  regardless of your opinion on whether you think this couple is crazy or whether you think it’s so romantic for this couple to be dressed all in black to capture their dangerous proposal moment on social media or  whether you think this couple will ultimately face criminal charges or not, when it comes to wearing black for a proposal or when it comes down to making black part of your swagger, ask yourself,  does wearing black change how powerful you feel inside or does it change your perceptions on how powerful you view others?
